DiveCast is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our dynamic dive planning application.
The short version: DiveCast does not collect any personal information unless you choose to sign in with Google or Apple. Even then, we only store the minimum information necessary to enable cloud synchronization of your dive plans.

When you sign in with Google or Apple authentication, we automatically collect usage logs to help us improve DiveCast's stability and performance:
Important: this usage logging only applies to users who sign in with SSO. Users who use DiveCast without signing in have no usage data collected.
Local data: all dive plans created without signing in are stored locally on your device. We have no access to this data.
Cloud data: if you use cloud sync, your dive plans are stored securely in Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) with industry-standard encryption. Only you can access your dive plans through your authenticated account.
Usage logs: for SSO users, usage logs are securely stored in our cloud infrastructure and are retained for debugging and stability improvement purposes.
Authentication: we use OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication through Google and Apple. We never see or store your passwords.
When you request access to download DiveCast through our website portal:
DiveCast is designed for certified divers and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
