1. DiveCast is free for personal and non-commercial use.
2. You may not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercialize this software.
3. You may not claim this software as your own or remove any copyright notices.
4. You use this software at your own risk. The authors are not responsible for any damage or injury resulting from the use of this software.
5. The software is not certified for professional or commercial dive planning.

Qt Framework

This software uses the Qt framework, which is available under multiple licenses:

• Commercial License
• GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) v3

OpenAI Integration

DiveCast includes optional AI-powered dive analysis features that use the OpenAI API. These features:

• Require users to provide their own OpenAI API credentials
• Are subject to OpenAI's terms of service and usage policies
• May incur costs based on OpenAI's pricing model

Users who enable AI features must create their own OpenAI account, obtain and manage their own API keys, comply with OpenAI's Terms of Use, and be responsible for any costs incurred through API usage.

Firebase / Google Cloud Storage

DiveCast offers optional cloud synchronization features powered by Google Firebase. These features:

• Only store data online if you explicitly choose to sign in
• Are completely optional - the software functions fully offline
• Use Google's Firebase platform for authentication and data storage

When using cloud features, data is stored and managed by Google/Firebase infrastructure. Users are subject to Google's Terms of Service and Firebase's Terms of Service, and privacy is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Your data is only uploaded when you sign in and explicitly save to cloud, can be deleted at any time through the app, is associated with your Google or Apple sign-in account, and remains private - it is not shared with third parties by DiveCast.
